Dear Neuromorphs, We are pleased to announce that the upcoming ASCI PhD course “A2 – Brain-Inspired Neuromorphic Computing <https://asci.school/project/a2-brain-inspired-neuromorphic-computing/>” is now open for registration and will take place in person from October 27–30, 2025, in Utrecht, The Netherlands. This 4 ECTS course provides a comprehensive introduction to neuromorphic computing, covering both theoretical foundations and practical hands-on sessions. The course features lectures, lab sessions, and research discussions led by experts from academia and industry. Dear Neuromorphs, My Colleges and I have the pleasure of hosting the IEEE ASYNC conference in-person next year at DTU (Copenhagen, Denmark) from the 3-5 June 2026. As asynchronous design is very present in the neuromorphic community since the very beginning, for the ones among you that build neuromorphic or neurosynaptic hardware that utilizes asynchronous principles in both digital or mixed-signal we would be happy if you would consider submitting a paper! The directors of the /Misha Mahowald Prize for Neuromorphic Engineering/ are pleased to announce that, with immediate effect, the names of all future prizes will be changed to the *Mahowald-Mead Prize for Neuromorphic Engineering*. The addition of the name of Carver Mead to the Prize recognizes his fundamental contributions and influence on the field. See the site https://mahowaldmeadprize.org Researchers wishing to be considered for an award are reminded that submissions for both the Mahowald-Mead Prize for Neuromorphic Engineering (*MMP*) and the Mahowald Early Career Prize (*MECA*) close on *October 31 at 23:59 UTC*. All other regulations regarding the Prizes shall remain the same as in previous years. /About the Mahowald-Mead Prize / The Misha Mahowald Prize has been awarded annually since 2016 for outstanding research in the field of neuromorphic engineering, worldwide.
