PostDoc position on Embodied Neuromorphic Intelligence at the Italian Institute of Technology!
Neuromorphic computing is a key enabling technology for developing artificial agents that solve the same problems that animals solve, hence is promising for robots to act swiftly, robustly and efficiently in uncontrolled environments in a wide range of conditions and tasks. This potential can be fully developed when neuromorphic computing is embodied, through close-loop interaction of the robot with the environment. We want your to help embodying neuromorphic intelligence!
At Event-driven Perception for Robotics (EDPR) we have expertise in real-time event-driven vision and touch perception, deep understanding of aspects of biological computation and their application to robotics. We are looking for a PostDoc to integrate their strong experience in neuromorphic computing and learning. Solutions could involve spiking neural networks on neuromorphic platforms, balanced EI networks, dynamic attractors, spike driven local learning and adaptation, dendritic computation and anything related that you find intellectually stimulating; applications include body schema representation, multisensory integration, motion perception, active sensing, decision making, and closed loop control.
