4-day PhD Course “ Brain-Inspired Neuromorphic Computing” open for registration! (Oct 27–30, 2025, Utrecht, The Netherlands)
Dear Neuromorphs, We are pleased to announce that the upcoming ASCI PhD course “A2 – Brain-Inspired Neuromorphic Computing <https://asci.school/project/a2-brain-inspired-neuromorphic-computing/>” is now open for registration and will take place in person from October 27–30, 2025, in Utrecht, The Netherlands. This 4 ECTS course provides a comprehensive introduction to neuromorphic computing, covering both theoretical foundations and practical hands-on sessions. The course features lectures, lab sessions, and research discussions led by experts from academia and industry. Participants will explore topics such as: • The biological inspiration behind neuromorphic engineering • Neuromorphic hardware and software frameworks • Event-based sensing and processing • Sparse and efficient neural networks for low-power AI • On-device learning and adaptive systems for real-world applications Whether you are new to neuromorphic computing or already active in the field, this course offers a good opportunity to deepen your understanding and engage with peers across Europe working on energy-efficient, brain-inspired AI systems. Looking forward to welcoming you in Utrecht! Best regards, Qinyu Chen (Leiden University) Amirreza Yousefzadeh (University of Twente) Chang Gao (TU Delft) Charlotte Frenkel (TU Delft)
