Neuromorphic Computing Meets Extended Reality — IEEE JETCAS Special Issue Call for Papers
Dear all, We are pleased to announce a Special Issue of the *IEEE Journal on Emerging and Selected Topics in Circuits and Systems (JETCAS)* on “Circuits and Systems for Extended Reality (XR)”. This issue aims to bring together innovative research at the intersection of *neuromorphic computing, event-driven sensing, multimodal perception, and low-power system design, *key enablers for future intelligent and immersive XR experiences. We warmly invite contributions addressing circuit, architecture, and system-level advances that push the boundaries of energy efficiency, latency, and adaptability in XR systems. We believe this topic strongly resonates with the neuromorphic computing community, as it has the potential to be a killer application for neuromorphic computing. The Manuscript submission deadline: *March 2, 2026* Check out the details here ieee-cas.org/files/ieeecass/2025-08/JETCAS_CFP_2026Q3.pdf We would be delighted to include your contributions or those from your research teams! Warm regards, Guest Editor Team Qinyu Chen, Leiden University Abhronil Sengupta, The Pennsylvania State University Ning Qiao, SynSense Hoi-Jun Yoo, KAIST
