The directors of the /Misha Mahowald Prize for Neuromorphic Engineering/ are pleased to announce that, with immediate effect, the names of all future prizes will be changed to the *Mahowald-Mead Prize for Neuromorphic Engineering*. The addition of the name of Carver Mead to the Prize recognizes his fundamental contributions and influence on the field. See the site https://mahowaldmeadprize.org Researchers wishing to be considered for an award are reminded that submissions for both the Mahowald-Mead Prize for Neuromorphic Engineering (*MMP*) and the Mahowald Early Career Prize (*MECA*) close on *October 31 at 23:59 UTC*.
